2017 NSW Championship Completed

On 2 Dec the NSWKA held its yearly State Championship, in which more than 30 members of our club participated.

All competitors were committed to their fights, not only making the whole process enjoyable watching, but also showing each other the spirit of not giving in, no matter what situation it was, which is much important. This spirit arose from training, and will be brought back to training to affect many more club members.

The results for the matches are:

Kyu level kata competition: 2^nd place.

Kyu women individual:

• Anna Lu, 1^st place;
• Fiona Roberts, 2^nd place;
• Elva Shi, equal 3^rd.

Kyu men individual:

• Junya Ichinose, 1^st place;
• Halley Tan, 2^nd place;
• Macca Hou & Kai Kikuchi, 3^rd place.

Dan men individual:

• Tomonori Hu, 2^nd place.
• Rocky Gao, 3^rd place.

Dan women individual:

• Nobuko Fujito, 2^nd place;
• Mory Zhao & Ioana Levins, 3^rd place

Under 13: Kelly Kishikawa, 1st place

Under 16: Alan Kishikawa, 1st place

Women team match: 2^nd place.

Kyu level men team match: 1^st place.

Dan level men team match: 2^nd place.

 

Congratulations to them! In the meantime, we’d like to greatly thank our three coaches, without whose hard work in both training and on the day the above result would be hardly obtained. We need to keep practicing for an even better outcome in the next competition!
