2023 Recap – End Of Year Training!

Posted on January 28, 2024 by Media in Club News, Social Event, Training

Hello everyone,

On Friday, the 15th of December, our club had our last official training of 2023!

For those who are out of the loop, on our last training day, our club likes to do a fun training menu called the Kirikaeshi party!

It’s a tough, but exciting training menu where we engage in continuous kirikaeshi, doing as many as we can for 3 minutes each set, and with 3 sets total! After 3 sets are complete, the motodachi then swaps with us to become the attacker!

It’s safe to say that by the end of this exercise, we were most definitely exhausted, sweaty and hot!

But, as an amazing treat and courtesy of Takayama-sensei and our executive team, we all were treated to a nice refreshing can of coke after, sweating off the bad of 2023 and celebrating the good, whilst welcoming in 2024 with laughter and fun afterwards!

It was an amazing experience, and I for one cannot wait for our next Kirikaeshi party!

See you all at the end of 2024!

– Makoto
