On Saturday 3rd May 2025, several members of our club attended the NSW State Grading in North Ryde!
Well done and good work to all members for putting forward a great attempt! Shout out to our new shōdans Felix, Jeff, Anne, and Zoe, and to three of our newer members – Sylvia and Keren jumping straight to 5th kyu, and Songze skipping to 3rd kyu! Songze made us all proud (and impressed) by calmly learning bokuto waza 1-4 during the lunch break right before the 3rd kyu grading, and ended up passing!
To everyone who attempted the grading, congratulations, you did well. Let’s look onwards to the next grading!
