Hello everyone,
On Sunday, the 10th of December, our club held the 2023 East VS West Shiai!
For those who are out of the loop, the event is an informal internal shiai, pitting one half of the club against the other, in consecutive individual matches!
The event was a fun and exciting way to top off the last Sunday training of 2023, supported by the powerful cheers of our club members, as we encouraged one another during their shiai!
Thank you to Takayama-sensei, the instructors and the executive team for organising this event!
But although the last shiai style event was over for the year, the day wasn’t over! We then all went to Kura Kura Japanese Dining for our end of year dinner – without fail, our club always goes to a celebratory dinner at the end of the year, to send off the current year coming to a close with a bang!
The food was absolutely delicious, and it was an amazing opportunity for our club members to socialise with one another outside of Kendo training!
