So what is it like joining our club?
The best way to find out more about our club is the hear from our members directly! We have many members – male/female, student and non-student, from different backgrounds.
See what they have to say about us 🙂
Our more recent members:
Abbas joined our club after Welcome Week in the Autumn session, back in 2021! He found his passion with Kendo and enjoys the opportunities of pushing himself to his limits during training, to bring out the best in him!

Our long standing members!
Iggz (from Romania via Italy to Sydney) has been with us since 2011 and now a proud instructor. She mentions that Kendo gives her a good reality check and keeps her humble. She says Kendo builds inner strength and there are many amazing people in the club! Details here
Anna (from China) saw a ‘group of people wearing special uniforms with crazy kiai (voice)’ and took interest in our club back in 2015. She enjoys having concentration and peace at the same time during training. Read more here
Sam joined our club when she was studying Biomedical Engineering and she was in need of something to do! When she was a beginner she enjoyed being part of a big group and hitting things with the shinai (bamboo sword!). More about Sam here
