On Sunday 27th April, we treated our club members who competed in this year’s 47th Australian Kendo Championships in Canberra with a celebratory JBBQ dinner at Koh-Ya Randwick, joined by our executive team and instructing team! It was a fun (and delicious) night for our competitors to finally relax and eat away any stress they had from so many weeks of hard work and preparation. Congratulations again to our 14 representatives and Team NSW for their dedication and fantastic results! Thank you again to Takayama Sensei for looking after our members and facilitating their achievements this year, and also for very generously organising the dinner. Let’s keep training hard and continue to bring back great results!!
Enjoy a few photos from the night!

“Uh… see you guys on Tuesday…?” – wise words from our champion, Alan Kishikawa (nothing like a good old impromptu speech)

The aftermath of table 1! Looks like they ate well!

Aftermath at table 2! (Don’t let their cute faces deceive you, they ate a LOT) (I think Kelly is still traumatised from her rice porridge…)

The aftermath of table 3! (Very neat?)
