2026 USYD Kendo AGM & BBQ!

On Sunday 25th January, the USYD Kendo Club held our Annual General Meeting for 2025!

Each year, we gather to report on the highs and lows of the past year with our club members, review club concerns and policies, and thank our head coaches, instructors, and executive team for their commitment and dedicated efforts throughout the past year.

Congratulations on Nakano Sensei for commencing his formal contract as a coach with our club! We are looking forward to working and training well under your guidance.

This event also saw the election of the USYD Kendo Club Executive Team for 2026, who will be assisting in the operation of our club this coming year. Thank you to Joshua Leong and Gita Purja for their efforts in 2025 as they conclude their executive team duties. We welcome commencing team members Hugh Lendio and Shivanesh Kumar.

After the AGM and a short training, we held a fun BBQ potluck with our members – everyone brought some great food to share and we all had a good time despite the heat!
