On 8 Dec, we held another pub night at Broadway Crown. It was such a memorable event as our friend, Keishi Todo, were about to return to Japan after one year’s living in Australia. He has been such a nice guy that we feel him like an old friend already. His smile is also unforgettably charming (the owner of “the best smile in 2017 cohort” in the cocktail party in May can’t be wrong).
Being thankful for having him training and playing together, we wish him a good journey home, and will welcome him back anytime. At the beginning, we knew each other via kendo; throughout the time, we became friends; and from now on, we will remember each other despite the distance. This is probably one of the most important social meaning of a sport like kendo.
We can’t help but feel shockingly – like we always do – how fast time goes. Year on year we welcome new faces, and send off some of the old. Good news is how easily we keep in touch online with the distant those who we care, and even travelling becomes easier. So don’t be too sad but feel free to keep friendships, people!
The year has come to an end, and the next year will start right after. It is time to set goals and get prepared, just in case they all come true. Life will always be the strategies of balancing out of the issues like kendo, study, work and being procrastinating, I mean, relaxing yourself in a suitable way. It would be the best if at the end of next year, people all find themselves promoted a lot.
