February Recap – Welcome Week and Pub Night!

Hello everyone,

With how fast March has been going, let’s take a trip down memory lane and go over the highlights of our time during February!

Our biggest event during February was undoubtedly the University of Sydney Welcome Week (February 16th – 18th), where our club advertised ourselves for recruitment through our stall! We also held a demonstration event at the nearby courtyard next to our venue, where we displayed what Kendo was all about! Here’s a picture of our club president, Joe, in full Kendo gear during one of our days at Welcome Week!

It was amazing to see so many people interested in our club, joining our club at the stall and after our beginner trial lesson, which was held on the last day of Welcome Week! This was a great opportunity for those who were interested to try out Kendo to see if it was for them!

After our Welcome Week beginner lesson on Friday the 18th of February, we went to the Broadway Crown to celebrate the end of Welcome Week with a bang!

Normally, our club likes to go on the last Friday of every month, but Welcome Week was a special occasion after all! We all were very eager to go earlier with our new beginner members, to socialise and to enjoy some wonderful food and drinks!
