O-Week Recap:
The University of Sydney Welcome Week (February 15th – 17th) was undoubtedly our most significant event! Many wore full gear, handing out fliers and explaining Kendo to everyone who looked our way. We also held a demonstration event where we showed what Kendo was all about! Here’s a picture of our commercial officer, Shannon, in full bogu during one of our days at Welcome Week!

Trial Lessons during O-Week:
On the last day of Welcome Week, many people attended our trial sessions; it was an excellent opportunity for those interested in experiencing Kendo fundamentals and got to make new friends!

Social Events with Our New Beginners:
After the trial lessons, our new 2023 beginners got to meet and talk with others to get to know each other more and converse with our club’s senior members at our main social event this month: a pizza party and a welcome BBQ! Everyone shared a bit about themselves and celebrated a great time with delicious food and drinks!
