Yesterday was one of the grading days for kendo players in NSW. 20 members from our club joined the grading. We started with signing up, followed by warming up till 9 am when grading officially began. From basic foot work to the demonstration of kendo kata, candidates completed different tasks that met their target grade.
Elva, Rachel, Victor and Fiona in kata demonstration… their additional practice of kata paid off, congratulations!
All our members achieved their goals from 6th kyu to 2nd dan. We also had several members who achieved double grading, and one even did a super awesome triple grading (sadly he was too shy to allow me to upload his handsome photo :(, but I guess I can show you in private ?)! Congratulations to all! With today’s outcome, let’s not forget to thank our coaches for their teaching and help in every training and on the day of grading.
Lastly, an Easter egg here! Below are some of our members in bogu in their grading. People all say, well actually, I say, people in one club for a good long time can easily tell which one is which by only watching their positions, so please take a guess of who they are in the following pictures to test my hypothesis!
